All donations go directly back to the community and are gratefully received. Caledon Meals on Wheels is a registered charity and donations are receipted for income tax purposes.
- A $25.00 donation would provide hot daily meals for an individual who may have a restricted income.
- $360.00 would fund a 45 person luncheon with hot meals and a chance to get out and interact with other people in social activities.
- A $1,000.00 donation would pay for additional training of our volunteers working with in-home clients so that they may assist in mental and physical exercises to maintain health.
- $1,250.00 would buy enough insulated cases to deliver all our hot meals to our clients and ensure the quality of our deliveries.
- $1,500 would buy a freezer to store our frozen meals.
- $2,500 would subsidize the operation cost of a vehicle used to transport clients to group social lunches and for delivery of frozen meal orders to clients.
Memorial And Special Event Donations
Some other wonderful ways to donate to Caledon Meals on Wheels are through Memorial donations, where a donation is given in memory of a lost loved one, and also through Special Event donations, where a donation is given in recognition or celebration of a special anniversary, birthday, or other memorable occasion. All donations are most gratefully accepted and it is comforting to know that whether a sad or joyous occasion these 'gifts' will continue to enrich our lives. It is truly a way to 'give for tomorrow'.
