Bolton, ON – November 2015 – For one week in September, Tim Hortons guests were able to purchase a specially baked chocolate chunk Smile Cookie for $1, with all proceeds being donated by Tim Hortons restaurant owners to support hundreds of local charities, hospitals and community programs across the country.
“Our Bolton guests and restaurant owners have once again shown their great generosity by raising an impressive $8778.00 in support of Caledon Meals on Wheels says David Clanachan, President and Chief Operating Officer, Tim Hortons Canada. “With every dollar our loyal guests contributed, we are able to directly impact Caledon Meals on Wheels. And, without the incredible support of our restaurant owners, this very important fundraiser would not be possible.”
The campaign started in 1996 to help raise funds for the Hamilton Children's Hospital in Ontario and has grown to become a major fundraising event at Tim Hortons restaurants.
